About Me
My primary interest in life is to cognize what may be called "ultimate truths." I surmise that "religion" exists for the purpose of clarifying such...but, as is painfully clear, it seems to more usually produce very stubborn "adhesion" to abhorrant and erroneous viewpoints; and much cruelty and horror has resulted therefrom. It is time to strip the veil of ignorance from mankind's eyes (...metaphorically speaking....metaphors are handy, when one is speaking of abstractions and abstreusities....but, as one ascertains from considering the notions of "fundamentalists," of all "stripes," there are always simpletons who surmise that everything written must needs be construed in a "literal" manner; to them I say: You don't ACTUALLY have a 'veil' in front of your eyes; rather you suffer from having less than perfect understanding. To some extent that can be corrected). Post a Comment1 Comment
You sent me an e-mail suggesting that I might want to post my views on your site. I attempted to confirm that I would--but the link whereby to do so was not operable; probably a"glitch" in my computer. So, I'll confirm , here, that I would be interested in "posting" my opinions on your site. Like you, I think it is "high time" for the ignorance of all religions to be eradicated. Be that ignorance Islamic, Christian, Jewish, Hindu, or whatever it's origins may be. When I say this I do not mean to suggest that all these religions are necessarily bogus....what is false is much, even most, of their theologies. On that point we may not be in "strict accord." I don't consider all religions to be "bullshit." I think that the term "bullshit" accurately applies to most of the theological spewing that goes on in Mosques, Churches, Temples, etc. I'll clarify this later. Steve
